Introducing MyPIPETMAN®, a Personalized Pipette Design Experience from Gilson

Middleton, WI (May 15, 2019) – Gilson announced today the launch of MyPIPETMAN, a new design experience that offers scientists the opportunity to build a unique pipette with the exact look and functions they require. MyPIPETMAN is a 3D interactive online configurator that lets researchers design a one-of-a-kind pipette using a variety of customization options.

The MyPIPETMAN design experience offers two layers of customization and personalization. The first is functional, where the scientist can select features such as channel number, specific volume-locking mechanisms, push button styles, and tip ejector styles among other signature PIPETMAN-based technologies. The second layer of personalization lets scientists to choose their individualized look, such as colors, and even allows for the addition of images and personalized text. Both levels of customization result in a unique pipette that meets the individual’s needs while distinguishing it from the rest of the pipettes in the laboratory.

The ordering process is simple. Scientists use the MyPIPETMAN online configurator to choose the internal and external features they want and view the prototype in real-time through interactive 3D images. Once the elements are final, the configurator will provide the cost and estimated delivery time. Initially, MyPIPETMAN will only be available in the United States.

“MyPIPETMAN intends to bring to life a collaborative design experience for researchers in the lab,” Nicolas Paris, CEO of Gilson, said. “The pipette is such a personal tool used daily at the bench. We want to enable verifiable science while simultaneously offering scientists the ability to tell their individual story through a one-of-a-kind pipette for their research.”

With the launch of MyPIPETMAN, scientists can design pipettes to meet their specific needs and not settle for instruments that may only fulfill some of their desired specifications. To learn more about the MyPIPETMAN experience, visit www.gilson.com/mypipetman.
