BETTY LARSON NAMED CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER FOR GE HEALTHCARE

BOSTON – February 8, 2022 – GE (NYSE: GE) announced the appointment of Betty Larson as Chief People Officer of GE Healthcare effective March 1, 2022. Betty will be responsible for GE Healthcare’s Human Resources and Communications teams.

Pete Arduini, chief executive officer of GE Healthcare, said, “Betty will be a critical partner as we plan for GE Healthcare to become an independent company. Her track record for developing and executing effective Human Resources and Communications business strategies at leading healthcare companies through times of change and transition will serve us well.”

Larson brings more than two decades of Human Resources and Communications leadership in the healthcare industry to the role. She joins GE from BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company with $20 billion in revenue and 75,000 employees worldwide, where she has served as executive vice president and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Prior to that role, Larson served as CHRO for C. R. Bard, Inc., a leading medical technology company in the fields of vascular, urology and surgical specialty products, which was acquired by BD in 2017. Larson started her career at Baxter International, a medication delivery and management, renal therapy, and BioSurgery company, where she held multiple positions of increasing responsibility over her 16-year tenure.

Larson serves on the board of directors for Baxter Credit Union and the Overlook Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds to support New Jersey-based Overlook Medical Center in its mission to provide high-quality care to patients. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in human resources from the University of Illinois, and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University.
