Do you have a lot of experience with fluorescence microscopy applications, and would you now like to expand your knowledge to super-resolution microscopy methods? Apply for our six days intensive course at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. The course will focus on hands-on learning of the methods of 3D super-resolution microscopy STED and GSDIM/dSTORM.
From July 10th to 15th 2017 the EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory), Heidelberg will be holding a six-day intensive course in cooperation with Leica Microsystems. The closing date for applications is April 25, 2017. The number of participants is limited to 20.
Practice with our microscope systems
The course is designed for PhD students, postdocs and scientists in biomedical research who are well-versed in common life science microscopy techniques and would like to use super-resolution methods such as STED or dSTORM/GSDiM in their projects. Course participants will be able to work with two Leica SR GSD 3D and two Leica TCS SP8 STED 3X microscopes as well as other instruments.
The course organizers, Marko Lampe and Rainer Pepperkok (EMBL), and Ulf Schwarz(Leica Microsystems) will be joined by a number of experienced trainers and scientists – including Christian Eggeling( University of Oxford, UK) and Jan Ellenberg, EMBL, to teach the participants the theory and practical skills needed to perform super-resolution microscopy. The following topics will be covered during the six days of the course:

- Multi-color 3D STED Microscopy
- Multi-color 3D Localization Microscopy
- Data Analysis for Localization Microscopy
- Deconvolution for STED Images
- Live Cell Imaging Super-Resolution Microscopy
