DNAnexus Expands Executive Leadership Team to Drive Commercial Growth Globally

Company CEO to update industry in presentation at the 35th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DNAnexus Inc., the global leader in genome informatics and data management, today announced two significant additions to the company’s executive leadership team. Brady Davis has joined the company as vice president, strategy and marketing, and John Ellithorpe, Ph.D. has joined as chief product officer. Richard Daly, chief executive officer of DNAnexus, will provide additional details and a corporate update in his presentation at the 35th Annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. PT.

Davis joins DNAnexus from Illumina where he led global product marketing for informatics, developed strategic partnerships and identified investment and acquisition opportunities. He joined Illumina from Oracle where he led business development, strategy and innovation for the Oracle Health Sciences Global Business Unit. Ellithorpe was co-founder, chief technology officer and chief product officer at Model N, a leading provider of revenue management solutions for the life sciences and technology industries. At Model N, he led the global products group and drove the company’s technical strategy. He joins DNAnexus from Vantiq where he was chief product officer.

For more than 15 years, Davis has been an innovator and leader across multiple segments of the healthcare ecosystem, including hospital, life sciences, consumer health and wellness. Davis was recently named co-chair of the Advisory Board for the University of Washington Center for Commercialization (C4C) focused on new ventures in healthcare as well as the Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers (CI4CC) Board of Advisors. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts and an Executive MBA from the University of Washington.

For more than 20 years, Ellithorpe has been focused on building distributed software platforms and complex computing systems for industrial businesses. Ellithorpe earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of California at Irvine and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
